Let’s talk a little pot. Happy 420! Today is the day advocates of marijuana legalization point to in celebrating the creeping acceptance and ultimate legalization of marijuana. When we first started posting about 420 and marijuana, only a handful of states had medical marijuana programs and even those were being raided by the federal government anytime someone looked the wrong way. As we post this today, 23 states have medical marijuana programs and 3 states have legalized the recreational use. Another 3 or 4 states could follow Colorado, Washington and Alaska after this year’s elections. Why should marijuana be legalized? Perhaps because even with the high, marijuana has significant medical promise as a natural cure or symptom reducer. Check out this infographic from medicalinsurance.org.
