We’ve written about marijuana over the last several years and 420. While this blog is about social media and advertising, we occasionally advocate for causes we believe in. The legalization of marijuana is one of those causes. The upside in medical benefits far outweigh any of the downside in slow reaction times. Not to mention the billions of taxpayer dollars spent on arresting prosecuting and jailing hundreds of thousands of Americans for possession of marijuana that is wasted every year when schools and highways are crumbling. Comparing marijuana to alcohol or tobacco is of course a joke as marijuana has been proven over and over to be far safer. Today, 420, we celebrate marijuana, well, some of us…the author doesn’t smoke much these days. Where did the term 420 come from though and why this day?
