The internet has certainly changed over the years. There are some of us who remember the musical tones of modems trying to connect to one another, to gleefully enable us to download a celebrity picture in just about 10 minutes. Some of us remember the internet as a few worthwhile websites that could be perused in 15 or 20 minutes. Now we could spend all day looking and still feel as though we’ve barely touched the content waiting for us. Today, every minute of every day, there are almost 30,000 Tumblr posts, over 1000,000 tweets and over 30,000 Facebook likes. That traffic is expected to quadruple over the next several years. Here is an infographic from the folks at WhoIsHostingThis showing the changes over the years.
