As employers, we want to best from our staff and at the same time, the best for our staff, so long as both goals can be achieved simultaneously. There is no question a happy worker is a more productive worker and a better asset for any company. Workshifting and timeshifting are two of the most powerful motivators for companies today. Perhaps as many as half the jobs in America could take advantage of flexible working hours. Obviously retail stores, doctors offices, restaurants and so on couldn’t operate without being staffed adequately during business hours when customers and patients come to visit, but many office and production jobs could be time shifted to accommodate workers demands for flexible schedules.
