Social media is all about sharing. Do we share too much? Some would say any sharing is too much. Then there are those who share every moment (do bathroom breaks really need to be announced?). As a parent I always worried my kids were sharing too much when they were younger that could lead to all sorts of potential problems from punks to pervs. In those days I only needed to worry about AOL or even just MySpace. Today, we have so many social networks that the wrong information at the wrong time could pose a real problem. This being the heart of summer vacations come to mind. I am reminded of that 1990 classic movie Home Alone, where Joe Pesci posed as a police officer to discover which families were going away for Christmas. Today, you only need pay attention to those families Facebook pages to know in many instances. This infographic from OnlineEducation shares some of the things to look out for when sharing online.
