Whom do you trust more, a celebrity endorser (even one who truly uses or believes in the product) or a friend? Since the dawn of advertising (or time) this has been a debate that has occurred within every marketing department. Does the fact that X movie star uses that product or you know 2 of your friends that use that product motivate your purchase more? It really comes down to who has more passion for a product. Certainly the influencer reaches more people, but the advocate truly believes in it.
