Want your brand to be seen on Facebook? Go play golf in the middle of the week. Audiences reactions are much higher on weekends than in the middle of the week according to Buddy Media’s Timeline Analysis conducted earlier this spring.

The study also found that non work hours are the best times for posting as well. Why? Well if we stop for a moment to analyze our day, it all makes perfect sense. How many of us are comfortable surfing Facebook throughout the workday? Am I the only one who raised their hand? Yes, it is what clients pay me to do, so I am in a different ball park so to speak. For most people, they are either outright prohibited from using social media during the day to being to busy to spend any real time on the site. On evenings and weekends most of us are able to catch up on what is going on online and we are much more attentive to all the messages online without the distractions of coworkers, phone calls, and bosses.

Another interesting fact, less is more. Just like political comments on Facebook, when you inundate friends and fans with your messages, no matter how well meaning and important you think those messages are, you are turning off people who feel spammed. Brands that post once or twice a day see up to 20% higher interaction rates than those who publish three or more times a day.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
