Today is February 29th. February 29th occurs only once every four years. It is called Leap Day, as it is the day added to the calendar to adjust our calendars and clocks for the uneven rotation of the earth. In actuality, it takes the earth 365 days and 6 hours to circle the sun. To make up for those extra 6 hours every year, a day has been added to the shortest month of the year every four years to keep the calendar relevant. So, you’ve been given an extra day this year. An extra day to do something for yourself, for someone you love, for a complete stranger, or even do nothing at all. What will you be doing on your extra day 2012?
