While most of the talk these days seems to be focused on how well Apple is doing and the impending Initial Public Offering from Facebook, there is a not so gentle giant named Google who is the predominant player in search and in smartphone operating systems. While it gives away it’s Android operating system for mobile phones for the later advertising revenue in search and other products, the majority of Google’s $37.91 billion in income comes from its 66% share of the search market where 20% of all clicks are pay-per-click ads.
