The Apple II personal computer turns 35 today. It’s been quite a ride over those 35 years, but we look back with a bit of nostalgia today at the must have personal computer of 1977. The base price of an Apple II was $1298 with 4K of RAM, or the upgrade version with 48K cost a mere $2638. The CPU ran at a blindingly fast………errr…..by today’s standard excruciatingly slow speed of 1 Mhz (we now talk in terms of several gigahertz in today’s processors). WOW! have things changed. Happy 35th!
