I for one take business cards very seriously. If you don’t have a business card, professionally you don’t exist to me. I carry mine in my car, in my briefcase, and in my wallet. When I get a new rep for a business trying to sell me something one of the first things I ask for is a business card. When they don’t have one, they have just lost the sale. Old fashioned? Perhaps. A business card however tells a story. It gives much more information than a name and a number anymore. My business cards have numbers, addresses, and even a QR code for my website. I spend a tremendous amount of time designing them to stand out from the clutter and make a good impression. What are your business cards like? Do you even use them anymore? Here is an infographic from moo.com giving us a brief history of the business card.
