Twitter celebrated it’s 5th birthday on Saturday. How many five year olds do you know who have 200 million fans? The service has mushroomed and been acknowledged as one of the key services that has helped people connect in tragedies such from the tsunami in Japan to the earthquake in Haiti. Twitter has also been one of the acknowledged sources of information that helped fuel the recent Arab spring of 2011. Even President Obama has joined Twitter recently.
