As customers and consumers, we loathe poor customer service. Like many things, we look back longingly at a time we remember where waiters and waitresses, ticket agents and retail sales people, clerks and cabbies all offered great customer service. With more and more transactions happening over the phone and online, our expectations for good customer service now rest with people we may never meet in places we may never visit. Like many things, we expect our issues to be dealt with quickly and fairly.
