Nielsen has released updated date about consumer behavior (I know….do consumers behave?) and the artists at visualeconomics have parsed this data into a great infographic. Some highlights of the data include:

  • The average American spends more than 60 hours a month online
  • Social networking takes up 22 percent of that time
  • email, search and e-commerce take up 36% of online time
  • Content consumption takes up the remaining 42%
