We think social bookmarking is a wonderful thing. Where we once would email ourselves links to bookmark on multiple computers, we are able to bookmark a site or page and add multiple tags as well, so we can search for every website we might have bookmarked about left handed lacrosse players or mobile design sites…whatever our hearts desire. At the end of 2010 rumors abounded that Yahoo was going thinking of shutting down our favorite social bookmarking site, Delicious.

It was announced today that Avos, a company put together by the founders of YouTube, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, have purchased Delicious and have plans to further extend the social bookmarking site, making it even easier to store and share the webs “tastiest” content.
