WOW! How the mighty have fallen. It wasn’t all that long ago (2006) that the world marveled at the popularity of MySpace and how it was taking over the world. Well, Social Media has indeed taken over the world, but it is obviously no longer a MySpace world, but a Facebook world. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s face graces the cover of Time Magazine as 2010’s person of the year.
Look at the accompanying chart from marketingcharts.com and you can see the dominance of Facebook over the other top 10 social sites. MySpace, the once dominant site just a few short years ago now garners slightly more than 4% share of all US visits.
