Is The Social Ask Overused?

I read an interesting statistic today that there are over 3.3 million social asks each month around the world. That is a heck of a lot of  “follow me“, “friend me“, “fan me” and “like me” . The question is…how much is too much? While 3.3 million may seem like a lot, when you spread that number across a worldwide population of almost 7 billion, that number no longer seems so big.
