Facebook is big….very BIG. With more than 600 million members, you can be assured there is a lot of good and a lot of bad that comes with being so bog. It turns out that in a survey of divorce lawyers by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Facebook has been identified as the “primary source of evidence in divorce cases. With the ability to catch up with old friends and acquaintances as well as peruse friends of friends to make new friends, Facebook is of course a fertile ground for those looking to wander and even those who don’t mean to. This of course is not the fault of Facebook, but instead demonstrates the power of social media and of course the king of social media. The AAML further reports that there has been no significant increase in the overall divorce rate, just a change in where one might start the process.
